$1.6M Lewis Road Upgrade In Limerick Is Set For Completion
The project, which began in 2016, is expected to be completed next week, officials said.
LIMERICK, PA βA nearly seven-year $1.6 million project to upgrade Lewis Road is nearing completion.
Dan Kerr, township manager informed the community this week during a meeting this week, that PennDOT completed all of the milling and the majority of the sidewalk work should be completed by the end of this week.
Kenneth W. Sperring Jr., chairman of the board of supervisors, said the township received $1.4 million in state grants for the project. He expressed thanks to State Rep. Joe Ciresi for supporting the project and helping to obtain the grants.

The project began with a plan to improve safety with the installation of sidewalks to improve safety at the Spring-Ford Area School District building.
It expanded to include stormwater upgrades and curbing to address stormwater issues.

The project includes over 4,000 feet of sidewalk, curbing, and ramps.
