1 Hospitalized In Crash That Shut Down Main Street Royersford

ROYERSFORD, PA — One victim was hospitalized after a two-vehicle accident shut down Main Street in Royersford for hours on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred near the intersection with 5th Avenue, just as it was lightly drizzling.

The vehicles collided head-on, possibly due to low visibility, officials said.

One victim was taken to Reading Hospital by EMS crews. It is not clear exactly what condition that individual is in, however officials said the hospitalization was done as a precaution.

The road was shut down for some time but first responders were able to clear the accident before school dismissal time and bus routes.

Royersford Fire and EMS, Liberty Fire Company, and Royersford Police all assisted on the scene.
