The 12-foot long, 22-foot wide structure carries about 8,000 vehicles a day, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said.

Loftus Construction was general contractor on the project, which was fully funded by state grants. It is part of some $9.5 million in bridge rehabilitation and repairs around the five-county region, officials said.
