LIMERICK/ROYERSFORD/SPRING CITY โ€”The year 2023 was not like any other year in the Limerick area. In 2023, a woman and a teenager were both missing in unrelated, high-profile cases in Limerick Township.

At the beginning of 2023, Jennifer Brown, a mother of two, was found dead in a wooded area of Royersford. By the end of the year, a jury convicted Blair Watts, Brown's friend and business partner, of first-degree murder. He was sentenced to life in prison.

Gregory Nissley, 17, of Limerick has been missing since Nov. 12. His friends and family are praying for his return.

  1. Limerick Mom Found Dead In Royersford: The search for Jennifer Brown, a mother of two, ended when her body was found in a wooded area of Royersford. Brown had been missing for over two weeks. She was scheduled to pick up her son on Jan. 4 but did not show up.

Spring City Man Wanted In Execution-Style Murder: Quinzell Chucky Mickey, 41, is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of William Stafford, 33, who was a passenger in his vehicle at 2:30 a.m. on April 15 in a parking lot at the Park Spring Apartment Community. The shooting was captured on video. Mickey surrendered four months later on Aug. 2.
  4. Limerick Boy, 17, Still Missing: Police Searching: Gregory Nissley of Limerick Township has been missing since Nov. 12. Friends and family are praying for his return.
  5. Pennhurst: School For โ€˜Feeble-Mindedโ€™ Now A Tourist Stop In Spring City: For eight decades Pennhurst Hospital and School was home to 10,600 intellectually challenged residents. The facility closed in 1987. The facility has been transformed into a museum and haunted house.
