Election 2023: Who Is Running In The Spring-Ford Area
Candidates are running for school, county commissioners, row offices, and state judgeships.

SPRING-FORD, PA β The general election in Pennsylvania is Tuesday, Nov. 7.
With the election nearing, Patch is looking to help voters be better informed about who is running and where to vote.
Patch will be posting the unofficial returns at 8 p.m. when the polls close.

When To Vote
Polls will be open for in-person voting from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Spring-Ford School Board
Ten candidates have cross-filed on both the Republican and Democratic ballots. School board members serve four-year terms.

The school district is divided into three geographical regions. The district covers Limerick and Upper Providence township, and Royersford and Spring City boroughs. There are 7,882 students in the district.

Montgomery County (select two)
The three-member Montgomery County Board of Commissioners is required to be composed of two individuals from the leading party (Democrats), and one from the other (Republicans).
Sitting Commissioner Joe Gale was ousted during the primary in the spring, so establishment GOP picks Limerick Township Supervisor Tom DiBello and Upper Dublin Commissioner Liz Ferry will face off for the third spot.
The board will look quite different than in previous years, as Democratic Commissioner Jamila Winder is the sitting candidate running. Longtime Commissioner Ken Lawrence is retiring.
Winder is joined by lawyer and Penn professor of politics Neil Makhija on the Democratic ballot.
Other county races: incumbent Democratic sheriff Sean Kilkenny is being challenged by Ed Moye. The clerk of courts, controller, coroner, register of deeds, prothonotary, and recorder of deeds are also all being contested.
