Limerick Officer Saving Ducklings

Limerick Officer Chris Wienczek went down a drain to save duckings, police reported on Facebook.

LIMERICK, PA —Limerick Officer Chris Wienzcek will go the extra mile to save lives.

Back in 2015, Wienczek was at an FOP conference in Pittsburgh when a retired officer collapsed.

Wienczek got an AED and administered a shock to the officer's heart. The officer regained consciousness and was taken to a hospital.

This time, the victim was a creature of a different kind.

Officer Wienczek, with the help of the township fire marshal, went down a drain on June 12 to save baby ducks.

His colleagues commended the officer and fire marshal for rescuing the ducks.

They jokingly referred to the officer as a "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle" in a Facebook post.

"Bodacious save Officer Wienczek," they wrote on the post.
