Limerick Road To Be Shut Down For Stormwater Drainage Replacement

Severe weather events and flooding in recent months and years has spurred a new round of road work in Montgomery County.

LIMERICK, PA β€” Several roads around the greater Philadelphia area will be under construction next week as part of an effort to improve stormwater management in the region.

Work will specifically target roads that have flooded in the numerous severe weather events of recent months and years.

In the Limerick area, Evergreen Road will be shut down and detoured around the clock between Linfield Road and Lightcap Road.

The detour will take motorists to Rupert Road, High Street, Pleasantview Road, and Linfield Road as stormwater drainages are replaced.

The closure will be in place around the clock from Monday, March 18, through Friday, March 22.

Delays are expected and motorists are asked to plan ahead and consider alternate routes.
