Montgomery County Remains In The Medium Level Of COVID-19 Cases

NORRISTOWN, PA —Montgomery County remains in the medium level of COVID-19 cases with 617 cases reported through Feb. 1, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The new cases amount to which amounts to 74.26 per 100,000 residents.

There were 13 deaths during that time frame, according to the tracking by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention tracking system.

The CDC reported that 5.1 percent of the hospital beds available in Chester County are occupied by patients being treated for COVID-19.

The rates are calculated based on the increase in new cases and hospitalization based on a 100,000 population.

Chester, Delaware, and Bucks counties are also back up to the medium level.

According to the data, 95 percent of Montgomery County residents, or 929,513 residents had at least one dose of vaccinations.

Vaccines are available for children six months and older. The vaccines for children under five years old are lower doses than those used for those over 5 and adults. More information is available here.
