Rabies Case Confirmed In Cat In Limerick Township
A feral cat found in Limerick on Tuesday night has tested positive for rabies, officials said.
LIMERICK, PA โ A case of rabies in a feral cat has been confirmed Wednesday in Limerick Township, the Montgomery County Office of Public Health reported.
A feral cat was found in the first block of Fruitville Road and tested positive on Tuesday, Oct. 31, for rabies.
Anyone who has been bitten or scratched by or had salvia exposure to a feral cat must receive medical treatment immediately.

Rabies is caused by a virus that can affect the central nervous system of any mammal. The virus is usually transmitted in saliva via the bite of an infected animal.
