Schwenksville Woman, 49, Was 'Devoted To Family'

SCHWENKSVILLE, PA — Melissa B. Armstrong, age 49, wife of Michael S.Armstrong, of Schwenksville, PA, formerly of Delaware, died Monday, March 26, 2018 in the Neighborhood Hospice, West Chester, PA, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born on May 21, 1968 in Lewes, Delaware, she was a daughter of Henry Johnson and Joanne Kandler. She was a 1986 graduate of Sussex Central High School. Mrs. Armstrong was devoted to her husband and family.

In addition to her husband of 17 years, Mrs. Armstrong is survived by Five Children, Tiffany A. Burton of Dover, DE, David S. Burton of WA, Heather N. Burton of Dover, DE, Sean M. Armstrong of Schwenksville, PA, Madison A. Armstrong of Schwenksville, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Ceremony at New Hanover United Methodist Church, 2211 Swamp Pike, Gilbertsville, PA on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 4:00 pm. Officiating will be Rev. Gil Vining. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Friends will be received from 2:15 pm - 3:45 pm Monday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Neighborhood Hospice, 701 E. Marshall St., West Chester, PA 19380.
