Star Student: Ava Excels In Spring-Ford

We all know students who excel in volunteer service. Here's one from the Spring-Ford area.

(Barbara Kelsch)

SPRING-FORD, PA β€” Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Barbara Kelsch who nominated Ava, a 12th grader of the Limerick-Royersford-Spring City area in Pennsylvania.

Why do you believe Ava should be recognized?

"She goes above and beyond to help people.

"She has already received her license as a hairdresser, she works at the Tech School plus she has a job working for the β€œLords and Ladies” hair salon.

"On top of all of that, she is a volunteer firefighter for the Royersford Firehouse. She is still in training but plans to finish. I am so proud of her. She is doing all of this while finishing her senior year."

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

She has a big heart and genuinely cares about people.

Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Ava, a 12th grader.
