Vehicle Overturned On U.S. 422 At Collegeville Exit Sunday

In separate accidents, a vehicle overturned and another drove into the median on U.S. 422 Sunday afternoon, Black Rock fire officials said.

ROYERSFORD, PA β€” A person was able to leave their overturned vehicle on their own after a crash Sunday at the Collegeville exit on eastbound Rt. 422, fire officials reported.

The Blackrock Volunteer Fire Company responded around 5 p.m. June 6 along with Upper Providence Fire & Emergency Services, Royersford Fire Department, and Collegeville Fire Company after a crash and vehicle rescue was reported on U.S. 422 eastbound at the Collegeville exit.

Crews arrived to find one vehicle had traveled from the eastbound lanes into the westbound median. In a separate accident, one vehicle was flipped on its roof and another vehicle, off to the side, had rear side damage, Black Rock Volunteer Fire Company reported.

A crash victim in the overturned vehicle "self-extracted," fire officials said, and was transported by Royersford Ambulance with others, to a local hospital, according to BRVFC. No serious injuries were reported by Monday morning.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the incidents.

Crews then cleared debris to help reopen all lanes on U.S. 422 westbound, officials said.
