1 Arrested After Man Shot, Killed In Lower Providence: DA

Police said the suspect fired four shots at close range at the victim.

LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA β€” A Philadelphia man who robbed, shot, and killed a man he rode the SEPTA bus with in Lower Providence Township on Saturday has been arrested, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office announced.

Jordan Antrim, 32, has been charged with first degree murder in the killing of 47-year-old Paul David Ley-Harris of Lower Providence.

The incident occurred on May 17 at around 5 p.m., near the intersection of Ridge Pike and Crosskeys Road.

Antrim and Ley-Harris were both on a SEPTA bus together shortly before the shooting. The pair both off at a stop near the Ridge Pike-Crosskeys intersection, police said.

Once outside on the road, Antrim used a Glock firearm to shoot Ley-Harris four times, according to authorities. Exact circumstances remain unclear, and it's not yet known if there was a struggle.

Ley-Harris was taken to Einstein Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Antrim was located nearby shortly afterwards, and arrested without incident. The Glock was found in his waistband, police said.

Surveillance footage showed that Ley-Harris was going through his wallet while on the bus, but no wallet was found on him after he was shot, according to authorities.

No bail is available for the first degree murder charge, and Antrim was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing is set for May 29.
