5 Collegeville Doctors Named To 'Best Of' List

COLLEGEVILLE, PA — A new list of the best doctors in all specialities in the greater Philadelphia region has been released, and five are from Collegeville.

The comprehensive database was published by Philadelphia Magazine this week.

Doctors on the list were curated by healthcare research company Castle Connolly Medical, which convened a physician-led team of researchers. They looked at professional qualifications, education, hospital and faculty appointments, research leadership, professional reputation, disciplinary history, outcomes data, communication, empathy, and trust for each doctor.

Collegeville area doctors who made the cut included:

• Lisa L. Hamaker, Einstein Endocrinology, 100 Market Street, Suite 300, Collegeville
• Sidney M. Jacoby, Philadelphia Hand To Shoulder Center, 300 Springhouse Drive, Collegeville
• Asmita S. Joshi, Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia, 3770 Ridge Pike Building B, Ground Level, Suite 1, Collegeville
• Catherine M. Schermer, Einstein General Surgery, Providence Town Center, 100 Market Street Collegeville

The list features obstetrics and gynecology, dermatology, gastroenterology, orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, and ophthalmology as searchable specialties.
