Apartment Fire Extinguished In Audubon

AUDUBON, PA — An apartment building caught fire in Audubon on Wednesday night, drawing a response from fire departments around the area.

The incident occurred at 7:12 p.m. at the Mill Grove Apartments, located on 131 Mill Grove Drive.

Officials said a resident's cooking "got out of control" and extended from the stove to the cabinets and counters.

Crews used main ladders and ground ladders to access the building, and then provided fans to help ventilate the area.

The scene was cleared in just more than an hour, officials said.

No injuries were reported. The total extent of the damage is not clear, but the blaze was stopped before it could spread far.

The Lower Providence Fire Department was assisted by the Phoenixville Fire Department and other local units on the scene.
