OAKS, PA β€” Former President Donald Trump will bring his campaign to Montgomery County on Monday, as he seeks up to shore up votes in the suburbs just a few weeks away from Election Day.

He will hold a "town hall" style event at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks a 6 p.m.

It marks Trump's second appearance in southeastern Pennsylvania in as many weeks, as he campaigned last week in Reading. With Pennsylvania a potentially pivotal state in the coming election, both parties have been campaigning with increasing furor in the heavily populated suburbs.

The Expo Center is no stranger to presidential candidates and their campaigns, having hosted U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders during his 2016 campaign. Montgomery County has already figured large in the 2024 campaign, with the county mobilizing efforts to garner the largest voter turnout of any county in the nation, and the RNC filing a lawsuit alleging the county did not properly test its machines before sending out mail-in ballots.

Democrats reacted strongly to Trump's Monday visit to Montco, which is his first visit to the county this election cycle.

β€œPennsylvanians can’t afford the risk of a second Trump presidency" Onotse Omoyeni, Pennsylvania Rapid Response Director for Harris for President, said in a statement. "He’s running because he wants complete, unchecked power and he’s telling us exactly what he’ll do if he gets it. Trump brags that he’s β€˜proudly the person responsible’ for overturning Roe v. Wade and now he has a plan to ban abortion nationwide if he wins, ripping away the freedom for women to make their own health care decisions."

Doors open for the Trump event at 2 p.m. Monday. Attendees are asked to register ahead of time online here.

The Expo Center is located at 100 Station Avenue.
