A Methacton Student Got A Holiday Surprise When Her Military Brother Stopped At Her School

Maxwell Gerstemeier, a member of the U.S. Navy, was on holiday leave and made a surprise visit to see his sister at Methacton High School.

LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA β€” A member of the United States Military made a surprise visit to see his sister at Methacton High School last Thursday, a heartwarming scene that was captured on video.

Maxwell Gerstemeier, an aviation machinist Mate 3rd Class in the U.S. Navy, stopped at the high school to see his sister, Ava, while she was in class Dec. 23.

The tear-jerking moment, which was captured on video, took place as the parents looked on.

In the video, Ava could be seen sitting in class when all of a sudden her brother comes through the doors and walks into the room. Ava then springs to her feet and runs over and jumps into the arms of her brother, where the two enjoy a long embrace.

Ava could be heard crying as she hugged her brother.

"We thank the Gerstemeier Family for sharing this beautiful moment with us and we thank Max for his service," the Methacton School District posted to its Facebook page.
