Skimming Device Found At Royal Farms In Collegeville

Police said skimmers have been found at several Royal Farms locations around the area.

COLLEGEVILLE, PA β€” A credit card skimmer was placed at the Royal Farms in Collegeville, one of many that has been found at the popular gas and convenience chain around the area, police said.

The skimmer was found back on Nov. 1 on the self checkout at the Royal Farms on 207 E. Main Street.

It's not yet clear how much damage it did, nor is it known how long the skimmer was attached to the checkout.

Police urged residents and any Royal Farms customers in the area to double check their bank statements to ensure there are no unauthorized purchases.

"Always check card readers and ATM's for loose parts or if something does not look to be an original part," Collegeville Police added.
