Easter Egg Hunt Saturday at Russell Elliot Field

The Feasterville Business Association is hosting the annual event Saturday morning.

The Feasterville Business Association invites families to come out Saturday morning at 10 a.m. to Russell Elliot Memorial Park and participate in the annual Easter Egg Hunt.

With dozens of plastic eggs dumped on the ground, it's really more of a scramble than a hunt, but semantics does not get in the way of the fun time.

"It's great to watch the kids run around after the eggs," said Matthew Gilbert, director of the Lower Southampton Department of Parks and Recreation. "It's even better when the parents jump in."

If the forecasts are correct, it looks like the weather will hold out long enough for the hunt. According to the National Weather Service, the Lower Southampton area will see temperatures in the 40s with a high of 49, but no rain until Sunday.

According to Linda Pupkiewicz, FBA event chairperson who also will personify the Easter Bunny, “All area children are invited to join the fun and festivities of the association’s holiday egg hunt compliments of the FBA.”

Prizes will be awarded to the leading egg gatherers.

“Through the years this has been a wonderful event for both young and old to come out to and enjoy,” Pupkiewicz said.

Parents are encouraged to bring a camera for pictures of their children with the Easter Bunny.
