$125 Sneakers, $150 Bike Stolen in Separate Thefts

Sneakers, a bicycle and copper were recently stolen in three separate thefts, police say.

Sneakers, a bicycle and copper were recently stolen in three separate thefts, according to Marple Township Police.

A woman told police she was parked in front of Walmart at 400 S. State Rd in Springfield between 7 and 9 p.m. on Oct. 13. 

When the woman returned to her vehicle, someone had stolen two large bags of clothing, one of which had a new pair of Nike Air Jordan sneakers worth $125, from the vehicle, according to police.

The vehicle doors were likely left unlocked as there were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle, according to police.

On Oct. 9, a resident of the 300 block of Parkway Blvd. in Broomall told police her daughter's bike was taken from her patio, according to police.

It was a brand new teal Roadmaster Mountain 24-inch bike valued at about $150, according to police.

On Oct. 4, copper from three air conditioning compressors were stolen from a vacant building at the 800 block of W. Parkway Bldv in Broomall, according to police.

One whole compressor was gone and the other two were dismantled to remove the coils from within, according to police, the estimated loss was between $3,500-$4,000.
