Community Rallying After Pregnant Teen Fatally Shot In Delaware County
Mother-to-be Tanyiah Bell, 19, was fatally shot in Lansdowne last week. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support her family.
LANSDOWNE, PA — After a mother-to-be was fatally shot in Delaware County, community members are rallying behind her family, including the child who was delivered after the mother was shot.
Tanyiah Bell, 19, was shot Friday on the 200 block of North Wycombe Avenue in Lansdowne, where she lived with Kaiheem Jerelle Williams. Williams has been charged with criminal homicide, first-degree murder, third-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, and possession of an instrument of crime, court records show.
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support Tanyiah Bell's mother, Tylicia Bell.

"Tanyiah was eight months pregnant and expecting her first child, a daughter who is now critically ill due to lack of oxygen at birth," the campaign website reads. "This loss is indescribable, and Tylicia is now grappling with the overwhelming task of burying her daughter while also caring for her granddaughter, who is in the hospital fighting for her life."
As of Wednesday morning, nearly $6,000 of the $15,000 goal has been raised.

Funds raised will be used to help Tylicia Bell cover bills and living expenses.
"Tylicia, a dedicated nurse, is devastated by this tragedy and unable to work at this time, adding financial strain to an already heartbreaking situation," the campaign reads. "Any donation, no matter the size, would be deeply appreciated."
