MARPLE-NEWTOWN, PA β€” The Philadelphia region just saw its first significant snow storm, and unfortunately for local kids it happened on a weekend.

So much snow did the Marple and Newtown township areas get Sunday morning?

According to the National Weather Service, the most snow in Delaware County was recorded in the Lawrence Park area in Broomall, where 7.5 inches of snow was reported by a trained spotter.

One area in Wayne got 7.2 inches, as reported by a member of the public at 11 a.m. Sunday, and another location in Wayne saw 7 inches, NWS data shows.

The section of Bryn Mawr that lies in Montgomery County got 5.8 inches, as reported by a member of the public at 4:34 p.m. Sunday.

A member of the public recorded 5 inches in Broomall at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Eight inches of snow were recorded by a member of the public at 9 a.m. Sunday in Berwyn. Berwyn's total was also the highest recorded on the Main Line

The highest snowfall total in the five-county Philadelphia region was recorded in East Nantmeal, which saw 8.8 inches, according to the NWS.

Summit Hill in Carbon County had Southeastern Pennsylvania's high snowfall total with 9 inches.
