Community Rallying For Family Of Late LMSD Teacher From Broomall

BROOMALL, PA — Broomall's Tim Mohan was a still beloved teacher in the Lower Merion School District when he died in a vehicle crash last week.

Mohan died Wednesday, April 3 after a Tuesday, April 2 crash.

The 53-year-old was a Scranton native and a Bala Cynwyd Middle School for about 30 years, according to his obituary and the school district.

He is survived by his wife Sinéad, son Patrick, and daughter Céire.

"Tim's love of his family and friends, contagious smile and generous spirit were infectious to anyone who met him," a GoFundMe page set up to support his family reads. "We are heartbroken that he is gone, but know his memory will live on in the countless lives that he has impacted."

Megan Nieberle established the campaign "to help ease any financial burden for the family."

"All donations will go directly to the family to help during this incredibly difficult time," Nieberle wrote. "Anything you can do to help Sinéad, Patrick and Céire is greatly appreciated."

As of Monday morning, more than $13,300 has been raised by the campaign.

A viewing will be held on from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, April 12, at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby. A funeral will take place at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
