DC Knights Hi-Q Team Takes Third in Delco Championship

Delaware County Christian School competed in a high stakes county quiz competition on March 6.

MEDIA–Penncrest High School hosted this year's Delaware County Hi-Q Championship on March 6, in which the top three teams in the county competed in an all out quiz bowl battle.

made their second appearance to the championship since the 2005-2006 school year. The Knights fought hard and took third in the competition with a score of 36.

Garnet Valley, the defending champs, held onto their title (scoring 58) and will move on to the national championship round. Penncrest, this year's host, came in second with a score of 49.

The , the first in 17 years, according to the school. Though the team will lose seniors Ryan Simms and Seung-Hyun Kim, according to the school, a number of students will return to the team.

The returning team memers will include team co-captain Victoria Kravets and, potentially, seven fellow sophomores, according to the school: Aaron Elcock, Drew Darby, Alex Payne, Daniel Yeung, Victoria Eppright, David Bang and Emily Bronkema, current freshmen Katherine Nichols and Rose Favino.
