Scanlon Delcared Winner In 5th Congressional District Race
Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon has been declared the winner in the 5th Congressional District race, defeating newcomer Alfe Goodwin.
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon will continue representing parts of Delaware County and Philadelphia, having been declared the winner in her congressional race.
The Associated Press has named Scanlon the winner over Republican challenger Alfe Goodwin in Pennsylvania's 5th Congressional District race.

As of 10:35 a.m. Wednesday, unofficial results show Scanlon with 261,049 votes (65.06 percent) and Goodwin 140,202 votes (34.94 percent).
All numbers are unofficial until the state certifies the results.
