Delco Double Robbery Suspect Federally Charged

Authorities said Donte Samuel Brown in total stole $8,000 from a dollar store and bank in Delaware County and Montgomery County gas station.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA β€” Federal charges have been filed against a Philadelphia man who authorities said robbed a Delaware County bank and dollar store.

Donte Samuel Brown, 45, of Philadelphia, was with two counts of robbery interfering with interstate commerce, one count of using and carrying a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, and one count of bank robbery.

The charges stem from an Aug. 14, 2024 robbery at a Delaware County Family Dollar store, a Feb. 19 robbery at the TD Bank branch at 131 E. MacDade Boulevard in Folsom, and an armed robbery at a Montgomery County gas station on Jan. 28.

In total, Brown made off $8,000 cash from these robberies, federal authorities said. Brown was initially indicted in July for the three robberies.

If convicted, Brown faces a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment.

The case was investigated by FBI Philadelphia’s Newtown Square Resident Agency, the East Norriton Township Police Department, Ridley Township Police Department, and Upper Darby Township Police Department and is being prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorneys Sandra Urban and Brian Doherty.
