Local Residents Named to Fall 2011 Dean's List
Local students from Marple and Newtown were named to Mount St. Mary's University, Wingate University, University of Scranton, Connecticut College, and University of Vermont Dean's Lists for the fall 2011 semester.

and residents were recently named on their college's Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester. Dean's List students must maintain at least a grade point average of 3.3 or above on a 4-point scale at some schools while others require students to maintain at least a 3.5 or above on a 4-point scale. All students must have also attempted at least 12 credits of course work.
Local students attending Mount St. Mary's University, Wingate University, University of Scranton, Connecticut College, and University of Vermont were recognized for their achievements.

- Lauren Arata–A resident of Broomall, Arata is currently a senior and attends Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
- Caitlyn Ahern–A resident of Newtown Square, Ahern is currently a senior and attends Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
- Jennifer DiCesare–A resident of Broomall, DiCesare currently attends Wingate University in Hendersonville, NC, and maintained at least a grade point average of 3.3.
- Lia DiSciascio–A resident of Broomall, DiSciascio is currently a freshman studying biochemistry in Scranton's College of Arts and Sciences.
- Alexander Flynn–A resident of Newtown Square, Flynn is currently a sophomore studying international studies in Scranton's College of Arts and Sciences.
- Michelle Strayer–A resident of Newtown Square, Strayer is currently a sophomore attending Connecticut College and received High Honors by earning a grade point average of at least 3.78.
- Jeffrey Lombard–A resident of Newtown Square, Lombard is currently a junior at the University of Vermont studying business administration in the School of Business Administration.
