Long-Time Marple EMT Dies At 75

Ann Marie Ehret helped the Marple Township community for more than three decades as an emergency medical technician.

MARPLE, PA — A long-time member of the Delaware County first responder community has died.

Ann Marie Ehret died at 75 years old on July 16.

"For more than 35 years, Ann Ehret served the Marple Township community as a volunteer EMT," the Marple Township Ambulance Corps said on social media. "Ann constantly showed up for others. Ann was an EMT, chairperson of the annual fund drive committee, board of director, Corps Person of the Year and Life Member. Ann has always been considered family. Rest easy Ann, we've got it from here."

According to her obituary, she taught at Grace Lutheran Nursery School for 15 years.

A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 16 at Grace Lutheran Church of Broomall. Service will follow 11 a.m., with a reception to after.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in her name.
