6K-Plus PECO Customers In Marple, Newtown Without Power

Marple Police said Sproul and Palmer's Mill Roads should be avoided due to downed trees and power lines.

MARPLE-NEWTOWN, PA — More than 6,000 PECO customers in Marple and Newtown townships do not have power Friday morning after Thursday's storms.

According to PECO, 4,261 customers in Marple and 1,984 in Newtown do not have power as of 1:53 p.m. Friday.

Marple has 34 separate outages and Newtown 45.

In Delaware County, a total of 32,068 PECO customers are without power due to 551 outages.

Drivers are urged to avoid Palmer’s Mill Road between Route 252 and Paxon Hollow Road, and Sproul Road (Route 320) between Cedar Grove Road and New Ardmore Avenue.

These roads are blocked by fallen trees and power lines, Marple Police said.
