DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Coronavirus is cropping back up in Delaware County, according to the latest data from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

The only metric to not see a change was the percent of hospital emergency department visits due to COVID-like illnesses, which remained at 1 percent.

Newly reported confirmed cases went up from 739 to 762.
The county's incidence rate per 100,000 people increased from 130.4 to 134.5.

The positive PCR testing rate went from 13.9 percent to 15.1 percent.
Average daily COVID-19-specific hospitalizations increased from 35.7 to 40.9.
And average daily COVID-19 patients on ventilators went up from 1.9 to 2.6.
To date, Delaware County has had 106,865 confirmed cases and 1,907 coronavirus deaths, state data shows.
410,660 people in Delaware County have been fully vaccinated, according to the state. Of those people, 194,885 have received booster shots and 36,619 have received a second booster shot, data shows.
