New Wawa SEPTA Station Begins Service In Delaware County
For the opening day, the new station in Delaware County is offering free coffee, iced tea, and pretzels.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The newest SEPTA station is open for riders and is offering freebies for its opening.
Wawa Station is now open in Middletown Township, expanding the Media-Elwyn Regional Rail Line, effectively renaming it the Media-Wawa line.
The station welcomed its first riders Sunday.

In celebration of the new station being operational, free coffee, iced tea, and pretzels are being offered to riders.
This marks the first service to the Middletown area since 1986, according to SEPTA

The new station adds more than 3.5 miles of rail service to the line.
SEPTA trains last served this area in 1986.
Construction on the project began in 2018.
The new Wawa Station building is fully ADA accessible with a pedestrian underpass and restroom facilities.
It features a 600-space parking deck and signalized access to Route 1.
The station has multimodal access with connections to SEPTA Bus Routes 111 and 114.
