NEWTOWN SQUARE–In conjunction with GlaxoSmithKline, hosted another year of Science in the Summer program. This year's theme was all about simple machines. Students learned about lever, incline planes, screws, wheels, pulleys and wedges.
Marple Newtown Patch stopped in for this three-day program where two differnet levels for different age groups were held throughout the afternoon.
Cherie Freeman, a seventh-grade science teacher for Northley Middle School in the Penn-Delco School District, has been teaching Science in the Summer with GlaxoSmithKline for six years now.

For Freeman, it's an enjoyable summer.
"The kids have a lot of fun with it," shared Freeman about teaching science to young students in the summer. "It's a great program and they get to learn science."
