Newtown Township Welcomes

Two New Officers To The Police Department

Newtown Township, Delaware County is pleased to announce the addition of two police officers to the Newtown Township Police Department. Officer Collin Crow joined the force on December 29, 2022 and Joseph “JJ” Yocum joined on January 12, 2023. Both officers were sworn in at the Newtown Township Municipal Building by Leonard B. Altieri III, Esq., Chairman, Newtown Township Board of Supervisors.

Crow is a graduate of Sun Valley High School in Aston, PA and West Chester University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. He previously worked full-time for the West Chester University Police Department and part-time for the Bethel Township Police Department.

Yocum is a graduate of Marple Newtown High School and the Delaware County Municipal Police Academy. He previously worked for the Darby Borough Police Department, Philadelphia Police Department and the Chester City Police Department, where he received the 2022 Officer of the Year Award.

“It is a pleasure to welcome Collin and JJ to the Newtown Township Police Department,” said Christopher Lunn, Chief of Police, Newtown Township Police Department. “Their experience is an asset to the department and I know they will serve Newtown Township honorably.”
