Organ Donation Awareness, Car Wash, U.S. Open Among Weekend Events [Get Out]

There are big things happening this weekend. It's a weekend full of community and even National events. An organ donation awareness event is being held in honor of Sarah Murnaghan, the 10 year old who has end-stage Cystic Fibrosis and awaits a lung transplant. The U.S. Open continues to be in town and Father's Day is Sunday. Local artists will also display their works and there's a car wash.

Sarah Murnaghan Organ Donation Awareness Fundraiser

• When: Friday, June 14, from 2 to 7 p.m.
• Where: Blush Salon, 3515 W Chester Pike in Newtown Square
• Why Go: Sarah Murnaghan is in a fight for her life and is awaiting a lung transplant. Come support organ donation and register for the gift of life by being an organ donor. Blowdrys and spray tans will also be offered at the salon and all proceeds will benefit the Gift of Life Foundation.

 Marple Newtown High School's AP Artists' Art Show

• When: Friday, June 14, from 7 to 8 p.m.
•  Where: Newtown Public Library, 201 Bishop Hollow Rd, Newtown Square
• Why Go: The Friends of the Newtown Square Library invite the public to “An Evening with the Artists.” Meet the high school's finest artists and view their work.

Cheerleader Car Wash

Artists and Easter Seals

• Why Go: Local artists will showcase donated works for silent auction at Easter Seals. Enjoy art, live music and refreshments. All proceeds will benefit Easter Seals, Delaware County Division.
