Paving Work To Impact Local Traffic In Marple Next Week

MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA — Paving work in Marple Township will impact traffic on a busy local road, PennDOT said.

According to PennDOT, Lawrence Road will have a lane closure overnight Thursday and Friday due to the work.

The closure will be in place from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning between Sproul Road/Route 320 and West Chester Pike/Route 3.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

This work is part of multiple ongoing projects to repair and resurface more than 200 miles of state highway across the five-county region.

Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
