Pothole Repair Work To Continue In Marple, Newtown This Week

Maintenance crews will again be working to fix potholes across the Philadelphia region this week after this year's freeze-thaw cycles.

MARPLE-NEWTOWN, PA — PennDOT maintenance crews will continue to address potholes across the region this week, including a few roads in Marple and Newtown townships.

Crews will be working to fix potholes on Marple Road, Bryn Mawr Avenue, and West Chester Pike in Marple and Newtown townships, as well as on numerous other roads in the Philadelphia region.

Slowdowns are possible on these roads.

According to PennDOT, the region experiences a high volume of potholes each season due to temperatures fluctuating between freezing and mild, known as a rapid freeze-thaw cycle.
Crews will be patching potholes until all areas are addressed.
