See Snowfall Totals For Newtown Township

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Snow has blanketed the Philadelphia region Friday, with some areas getting as little as 1.9 inches and got nearly 5 inches.

According to the National Weather Service, the highest snowfall total in the Philadelphia region was in Bucks County.

Doylestown and Levittown reported 4.9 inches.

Eagleville in Montgomery County had the lowest total in the region, with 1.9 inches recorded.

But what about the Newtown Square area?

The National Weather Service reports 4 inches in Newtown Township as of 7 a.m. Friday, counted by a member of the public.

Newtown, Aston, and Chelsea, each reported 4 inches of snow.

Morton nearly had 4 inches, with a trained spotter reporting 3.9 inches.

Snowfall totals in Wayne were 2.5 inches.
