Boy Dies After Being Hurt In Delaware County Fire

Three-year-old Sy'Aire Redd died from his injuries suffered in a residential fire last week in Delaware County. His mom is still critical.

CHESTER, PA — A child who was injured in a residential Delaware County fire last week has died.

According to Chester City Councilman Fred Green, the 3-year-old child hurt in a fire Wednesday died from his injuries.

The boy, identified as Sy’Aire Redd, was hurt in a fire the evening of Nov. 19 on the 200 block of Wilson Street in Chester.

Redd was rescued from the home and was reported in critical condition.

Green said a balloon released and prayer will be held in Redd's memory at 6 p.m. Wednesday on the 200 block of Wilson Street in Chester.

Green said the boy's mother is still in critical condition and urged the public to pray for her and her family.
