PHILADELPHIA, PA β€” Phillies superstar Bryce Harper is having trouble throwing from the outfield right now, and it's expected he'll stick at designated hitter for at least the next six weeks while an elbow injury heals. He's been able to make shorter throws, however.

Phillies fan Keith Maguire Jr., a 21-year-old from Media, found that out on Thursday when Harper called to him up in the stands from the dugout.

Game footage shows Harper motioning with his hat into the crowd and gesturing to Maguire that he wanted to swap. Maguire was wearing a white hat with "Phillies" in big letters scrawled across it, and it caught his eye.

Harper signed his hat and tossed it into the crowd, and Maguire tossed his hat back down.

"Bought that hat as I was walking into the stadium, who would have thought i would trade it for Bryce’s hat," Maguire shared on social media.

Phillies.com beat reporter caught up with Harper after the game.

"Just really liked the hat, so I signed mine and asked if he wanted to trade," Harper told Zolecki. "He was really cool about it and made it happen. Always fun interacting with the fans here at home."
