Delco Man Tried Stop Police From Towing Motorcycle: Authorities
A motorcycle driver had a suspended license during a traffic stop. Another man showed up and tried to stop the bike from being towed.
CHESTER, PA β A man tried to take a motorcycle from police as they towed it away after a traffic stop in Delaware County last week, authorities said.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the incident began at about 1:17 a.m. Friday at Edgmont Avenue and East 21st Street in Chester City.
Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle with no registration and lights that was driving on the wrong side of the road.

The driver was not the registered owner and had his license suspended to a previous DUI suspended, police said. That man, 43-year-old Shamsideen Kirksey of Chester, was cited for driving with a suspended license.
Troopers arranged for the motorcycle to be towed from the scene, but before the tow truck showed up on scene, another man came to the area and tried to take the motorcycle, according to state police.

Police asked the man for his identification, but the man disobeyed their commands, an incident report states.
The man, later identified as Ronald White, 50, of Chester, resisted arrest and taken into custody.
Court records show he was charged with resisting arrest, obstructing justice, providing false identification to police, public drunkenness, and more.
White is being held after failing to post 10 percent of $10,000 bail, according to court documents.
