Meet Sales Manager Colleen Kintsch

Colleen Kintsch looks forward to connecting with prospective residents and supporting teammates in new role as sales manager

Maris Grove, an Erickson Senior Living community in the Brandywine Valley of Pennsylvania, is known for its friendly, welcoming atmosphere--a culture that Colleen Kintsch, the community's new sales manager, personally embodies.

Since joining Maris Grove in 2017, Kintsch has worn many hats, each one strengthening her passion for helping people feel at home.

"Helping prospective residents is more than a job to me," she says. "What excites me the most is seeing prospective residents come check out Maris Grove, move into their new home here, and then witnessing how much their life has improved once they settle in."

Now, as sales manager, she's supporting incoming residents as well as her teammates.

"In my role, you need to be able to step in and support the team in any aspect that comes up," she says. "And I'm more than happy to do so! That's what Maris Grove's culture is all about."

Growing together

Maris Grove was opening two new buildings when Kintsch was applying for jobs in 2017.

"I was a new graduate looking for a place to grow," she says. "Maris Grove was growing too, so it was perfect timing."

Kintsch became a sales associate and events coordinator--a role she loved and excelled at for four and a half years. "Then, I was promoted to senior sales associate and worked more directly with prospective residents," she explains.

Earlier this year, she stepped into the sales manager position, which leverages her years of experience, natural leadership skills, and ability to foster meaningful connections.

"As sales manager, I oversee day-to-day activities and help develop our sales team," she says. "You definitely have to be a 'Swiss Army knife' and know everyone's strengths."

"Colleen has a genuine gift for connecting with people," says Brett Haas, sales director at Maris Grove. "Her experience in so many roles here gives her a deep understanding of what our future residents need, and her energy and care help make every step of the process feel personal and welcoming."

Learning more

Kintsch and the sales team are always ready to meet with prospective residents and help them discover everything Maris Grove has to offer.

"We offer personal tours all throughout the week. A simple phone call will set you up with an appointment with one of our team members," she says. "There's no pressure! It's just a way to learn more."

She's quick to highlight the community's Priority List--an option that allows prospective residents to experience Maris Grove's lifestyle firsthand before moving in.

Priority List members receive a special green badge, which allows them to "come in and experience the community without an appointment. They can go to lunch or attend a Priority List meeting. It's a big part of developing a sense of comfort with the community," Kintsch explains.

Kintsch also points to the Live the Life program, which allows members to stay overnight in a furnished guest suite, dine at the community's restaurants, visit amenities, and chat with current residents.

"We create a personalized itinerary for you ahead of time so you can explore everything that is important to you. It's a very popular program," says Kintsch, one of the sales team members who helps make each stay special. "I'm here to oversee and make sure guests' experiences are going well."

Join today!

Kintsch notes a final perk of joining the Priority List--right of first refusal on desired floor plans.

"Becoming a member puts you in line for the residence of your choosing," she says. "We are very low on inventory, so being part of the waiting list is crucial if you're interested in moving to Maris Grove."

She adds, "It also sets you up for success when you're ready to make the move. Members have

access to a range of exclusive planning and moving services."

Rooted in community

Kintsch's passion for Maris Grove is personal. Before she and her husband Chris met, she helped one of his family members move to Maris Grove. "She set us up on a blind date. Now, we're married!" she says.

Today, she and Chris live in Media, Pa., close to family and all the things they love to do together, like skiing, hiking, and playing pickleball.

When asked what keeps her so dedicated to Maris Grove and the people who call it home, Kintsch doesn't hesitate: "I love what I do. I love what we stand for. I love the meaning behind our role," she says. "My goal is a lifelong career with Erickson Senior Living."
