Rape-Related Charges Filed Against Delco Optical Shop Worker: DA
Brian Steiner lured customers to the back of an optical shop with the offer of free glasses in exchange for sexual acts, authorities said.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — A Delaware County optician has been accused of soliciting sex acts in exchange for free merchandise from two optical shops, authorities said.
Brian Steiner, 41, of Glenolden, is charged with multiple counts of sexual assault, threat of rape, indecent assault, false imprisonment, and related charges, the Delaware County District Attorney's Office said Monday.
According to authorities, Steiner solicitation of sexual acts from customers in exchange for free merchandise. Steiner worked in two optical shops, one in Folcroft and one in Collingdale.

Authorities said he lured customers to the back of the store with the offer of free glasses in return for sexual acts.
The DA's office said Steiner has multiple victims, and there may be more.

Anyone who may have been a victim or knows someone who may have been a victim is urged to contact Detective Corporal Daniel White of the Folcroft Borough Police Department at 610-522-1300.
Court records show Steiner in 2009 was convicted of indecent exposure and corruption of minors, for which he was sentenced to two years of probation. Those charges stemmed from a 2007 incident, according to court documents.
Steiner is free after posting 10 percent of $250,000 bail in the recent case. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Tuesday.
