RTM School Board to Approve New Hires Tuesday in Media

• School Board: The Rose Tree Media Board of School Directors will hold a special legislative meeting at 7:30 p.m. on July 30 at Springton Lake Middle School. The purpose of the meeting is to hire new teachers, accept resignations and create new positions like a Developmental Kindergarten Teacher and a Special Education Teacher position at Media Elementary School. • Sports: Rose Tree Colts Football and Cheer Registration is July 30 and 31
• Donate: American Red Cross Blood Drive on July 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Swarthmore College, 500 College Avenue in Swarthmore
• Mosquito: The Department of Environmental Protection will spray for mosquitos on July 30 in portions of Aston and Chester townships as well as Brookhaven Borough to control adult mosquito populations. The rain date is July 31.
• Traffic: Check on your commute on the PennDOT traffic cameras before you leave the house. But the traffic will likely be terrible—it's traffic.
• Weather: The forecast calls for temperatures to reach the mid-80s with mostly sunny skies. Things are expected to cool down in the evening. 
• History: Per the History Channel, on this day in 1999, the Blair Witch Project movie was released and in 1976 Brucer Jenner won gold in the decathlon at the Montreal Olympics.
