DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Authorities in Delaware County are warning residents of scammers posing as members of the Delaware County Sheriff's Office.
According to authorities, the scammers purport to be employees of the office and demand payment from their targets.
The scammers request large sums of money be paid via bitcoin under the threat of arrest for criminal charges related to missing jury duty and contempt of court, according to authorities.
