Crescent Township Board of Commissioners scheduled to meet
The Crescent Township Board of Commissioners will meet for its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Check back with Patch first thing Wednesday morning for complete coverage of the meeting.
Moon Area School District holds learning disabilities meeting
Thewill hold a meeting to discuss the neuropsychology of learning disabilities at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the McCormick Elementary multipurpose room, which will feature speaker Hannah-Lise Schofield, an autism specialist from Allegheny General Hospital on the North Side.Â

RMU president unveils plan for Ohio River boathouse
President Gregory G. Dell'Omo will host an open house at the university's Island Sports Center to discuss the university's plan to build a rowing boathouse along the Ohio River on Neville Island.Â
The event, which takes place at 6 p.m. Thursday, is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.Â

Library offers ways to improve home safety
The will host a discussion on ways to make your home a safer place at 2 p.m. Monday.Â
Safety experts will be on hand for the discussion, which will cover fire safety and minimizing household risks for senior citizens. Â
The event is free to attend, but residents should register by contacting librarian Suzy Ruskins at ruskins@einetwork.net.
