Man Charged in Rental Car Theft Faces Hearing
Nicholas Balzer, 38, said he would plead not guilty.
A Florida man with driving off with a rental car and not returning it to Budget Rent A Car in Moon will face a preliminary hearing today in Coraopolis District Court.
Nicholas Balzer, 38, of Port Richey, is charged with felony theft of leased property and misdemeanor unauthorized use of property.
Balzer he would plead not guilty to the charges. He previously was scheduled to appear last month in court, but the hearing was postponed.

 said Balzer rented a car from the rental agency in October and failed to return the vehicle by the lease expiration date in November.
Balzer said , including his mother's death and a feud with a roommate in Florida, prevented him from returning the vehicle.
