Do you have an old jar of pennies?

The Airport Area Friends of the Montour Trail is having their 17th annual "Pennies For Your Trail" campaign on Saturday, May 11.

Frank Keppel, a resident of Robinson and a 20-year volunteer with the Montour Trail, said all money raised from the event will be used to maintain the Airport Area sections of the Montour Trail.

Rain or shine, trail volunteers will be out from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the intersection of Montour Run Road and Park Manor Boulevard (the gazebo below Robinson Town Centre) in Robinson collecting and weighing loose change.

"We gladly take paper money as well," Keppel said.

Each year the group conducts the fundraiser a day before Mothers Day.

Keppel said area businesses have donated numerous prizes, which will be awarded to the person donating the most loose change according to weight.
