Reminder: Ambridge-Aliquippa Bridge Closes Today

The long-term closing of the nearby Ambridge-Aliquippa Bridge begins today, March 4.

Expect delays traveling in the area of the Sewickley Bridge, which has been designated the alternate detour through November. 

The Ambridge-Aliquippa Bridge is expected to remain closed until October as part of a two-year $16.6-million repair project.

Crews are performing steel repairs under the bridge deck and substructure work, according to PennDOT.

Moon Township Police plan to maintain a presence on the Route 51 side of the Sewickley Bridge.
