State Police: Moon Bar Violates Liquor Law

The bar has been issued a citation for failure to pay liquor taxes.

Pennsylvania State Police say a Moon Township bar owes more than $17,000 in unpaid beverage taxes.

Viola's Pasta & More, located on Brodhead Road, has not paid beverage taxes since 2010, according to the Pennsylvania Bureau of Liquor Control, which issued the sports bar a citation in recent days. The bar is no longer in operation.

Despite its closure, the bar owes $17,834 in back taxes, according to state police. The citation includes unpaid taxes from Aug. 1, 2010 to June, 30 of this year.
