Thieves Break In to New Get-Go Gas Station
Copper and electrical cart with a total value of more than $1,000 removed from building.

Moon Police said copper wiring and a cart with a total value of  more than $1,000 were stolen this weekend from the new . The station is scheduled to open in several weeks.Â
Police said someone cut a master lock and heavy cable used to secure the University Boulevard building sometime on the evening of March 26. A general contractor at the site reported the theft on March 27.Â
Once inside, thieves removed an electrical cart, valued at $220, that carried large spools of copper wiring valued at nearly $950. Police said metal tool boxes also were cut open, but no tools or other equipment was taken.Â

The stolen items were property of Pittsburgh-based Wellington Power Corp. Â
The former Texaco gas station is being renovated into a Giant Eagle convenience store and gas station and is scheduled to open this summer.Â
